Plankton in the Ocean of Coincidence
In the misty half-light of a long summer's dawn the fish comes out of the water
Welcome to our free CD. Ok, this isn't a CD. It's a webpage. But it's a webpage in lieu of a CD. What does that make it? Ah well, it's all just plankton in the huge sea of music, so just kick the fuck back and enjoy!
See below for a YouTube Playlist, a free downloadable album, and a listing of all 13 songs with some information about each of them and a direct link to each song on YouTube (click on the picture).

Together, we can make a difference!

Songlisting
This is our home! | Freedom is our right!
On these ranges we roam! | Through the star-spangled night!
Every year, American Mustangs are caught from the wild during misguided attemps at "herd management", driven in great part by the cattle farming lobby. They are imprisoned, families torn apart, and many are killed. Click here to find out what you can do to help!
We're growing wild, wild like weeds | And we're breaking up the rigid streets
They cannot kill us or keep us down | We are the rebels that wild this town!
So-called "weeds" are an important part of our local ecosystems, with many species of insects and birds depending on them! In urban environments, weeds are important "stepping stones" for insects ("beelines").
Wavy pavements, ride the wave | To where we are free
To where life's a movie, an open ending | A script by you and me!
A song about following your dreams against all odds and about that "success" is not measured in fame and fortune but in living your life on your own terms. Revisiting the Lürxx' own history on the streets of Hollywood...
You offer no excuses for your values and your convictions! | You’re badass!
They say
 you’re way
 too radical - I think you’re fire!
| You're badass!

A love song for an activist - because it's HOT to stand up for what you believe in! If wanting peace and a life free from fear and suffering for everyone is radical, then we all need to be fucking radical!
Ego-centric alpha-male | Money-centric idiot
Power hungry politician | Narrow-minded bigot | You won't be missed.
A song for those who actively oppose our values of tolerance and democracy, who only care about themselves, disrespecting the planet and all beings that live here, exploiting everyone and everything for their own purposes. We don't need them to build a better tomorrow...
Go tell my baby sister | not to do what I have done
But to shun that house in New Orleans | they call the rising sun

Those who know a bit about our backstory will be aware that our musical roots go way back into the 1950s and 1960s. Eric Burdon was a big influence on Xavi's singing and we've always loved the version the Animals did of this song, so we decided to arrange it for bass recorder... We think it worked!
There are rats in your compost | gnawing at night
There are slugs in the stone walls | that hide from the light
This Alice Cooper-inspired song asks the question, why many people are scared of certain wildlife and will try to keep them from living in what is their rightful habitat. We need to rediscover the skill of cohabitation and we need to stop poisoning ecosystems in order to satisfy some kind of irrational fear...
Smash the dam and break the barrier! Eels must swim from sea to source!
As they've always done before!
The European eel spawns in the warm waters of the Sargasso Sea (Caribbean). Its tiny larvae then hop on the Gulf Stream which carries them to European coasts. They transform several more times as they swim upstream into the rivers where they live for many years before they travel back South to spawn and die...
This is myself, this is my day | in a world that's never safe
It's ok, it's ok | You don't have to run and hide away!

We self-identify as prog-punks, so it made sense to do a medley of these two songs by Rush and Dead Moon: As we are out there in a world that's never safe, sowing a new, more empathic, reality closer to the heart, we gotta remind ourselves that - even if things are overwhelming - we will not run and hide!
Love warriors for a better world. Freedom lovers for a better world.
Inspired by a friend of ours who spent 3 months living in a tree house, protecting an ancient forest from being cut down for coal mining (thanks to 12 years of protests, the forest is still there today and protected by law! Protests work!). She conceived her first child in that tree - bringing new hope into the world while protecting old life! A love warrior!
Man has known it, now he's blown it upside down and hell's the only sound,
we did an awful job and now we're just a little too late!
Our version of one of our favourite Aerosmith songs from their epic 1976 album "Rocks". A very timely song, we tweaked the lyrics a little bit to enhance its relevancy in the face of climate change.
In the misty half-light of a long summer's dawn
The fish comes out of the water...
Before we even knew the term, we wrote this anti-speciesist ode to evolution, celebrating the fact that we are all siblings of the fish, that we all share a common ancestor and that all perceived differences and hierarchies among beings are a bunch of crap. We were pretty smart 19 year olds. In some ways...
