“MOLD” is unsanitized music for overly sanitized times. Four dark tracks dealing with overcoming trauma and embracing the darkness and all that dwells in it. A fearless collision of grunge, punk, hard rock and dark environmental storytelling.
The four songs on "Mold" form part of the "Exile from Mainstream" sessions and were recorded at the band's own Catfish&Crow Studios.
Here's a snippet of a review:
Ultimately, ‘Mold’ is a reminder that music does not need to be clean, predictable, or particularly interested in behaving itself to make a meaningful connection. The Lürxx turn darkness into a place for confrontation, reflection, and even a little unexpected tenderness, all while keeping the riffs and restless energy firmly in the driver’s seat. Their willingness to explore trauma, human vulnerability, and our relationship with the living world gives this short EP a surprisingly expansive spirit. Four songs might not sound like much, but fungi have been proving for ages that small things can spread in extraordinary ways. ‘Mold’ gets under your skin, settles into your brain, and makes itself comfortable. Consider this your warning: the Lürxx are growing on you, and disinfectant is not going to help.
