Spiderling Promotions
Spiderling Promotions grew out of the wish to help build up a live music scene in the UK around raw, hand-made rock music, paired with activism for both environmental and social causes.
This is NOT a for-profit venture, we do this for the love of rock'n'roll and because we fuckin' wanna have fun together with with like-minded musicians!

What will we offer?

We will organize DIY gigs across the UK. Spiderling Promotions will rent the venue and promote the show via The Lürxx' social media, Facebook Events, and BandsInTown, as well as local listings.

We will serve as the connection point between all artists involved in a gig and facilitate equipment share arrangements etc

We will provide artists with a non-personalised (!) ticket link to share with their fans/friends/family...

We will design a poster and social media post which the artists can use for promotion.

We will NEVER take a merch cut and won't work with venues which do.

We will not monitor which artist brings how many people. Any money made at the door will first be used to cover venue costs. Any excess money will go towards covering transport costs of the artists.

We will NOT enforce exclusivity.

We will build and promote a playlist of featured artists on Spotify and YouTube.

We will create an artist directory which you can opt in to in order to enable artists to hook up with each other independently as well.
What do we expect from artists?

Promote the shit out of the show. Not just on one IG story... Think Sunset Strip bands in the 80s - that's the kinda attitude we want!

Communicate well with us and the other bands on the bill: answer emails within a reasonable time-frame, provide contact numbers that actually work... just basic shit, really!

Be professional: Yeah, we wanna have fun and party, too, BUT we need y'all to be on time for load-in and soundcheck, stick to your set-times, set up and tear down quickly, only get wasted AFTER the show!

Step up and help promote the show locally - if you have any contacts to local radio stations, journalists, know of places to stick up posters etc - please take the initiative and push the show! Also, we are always open to venue suggestions by local artists! Especially 50-200 capacity with a venue rental fee below £200.

Who are we looking for?
If you are passionate about hand-made rock'n'roll, about putting on an entertaining show, about using your art for a good cause, about having fun and rocking out, and if you broadly self-identify somewhere within the glam-punk-metal-hardrock-sleaze niche, then we wanna hear from you!
We don't care if you're a full band, a duo, a solo artist or whatever. If you bring the right energy, we want you on our roster! We're not afraid to mix up acoustic acts with full-on punk rock... What's important to us is a certain level of crazy energy and artistic quality!
If you are an activist poet, we also wanna hear from you! We believe that rock music and poetry should work together to overthrow the system, if you think so, too, give us a shout!
We want to provide a safe space where everyone can be themselves, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. We expect all artists to be on board with this and will not tolerate any bullshit.
